        Agreed. If they find something, they should give you the option to have it fixed for a fee, but just to look.

        Hi middle_2007 –
        I certainly understand that it would be frustrating for a new computer to crash.  However, most computers have a manufacture warranty which covers hardware defects; non abuse or accidental related.  Geek Squad or the manufacture of your computer can generally do a diagnostic to find the cause of your computer crashing.  However, if found to be a software issue, it is generally not covered under the manufacture warranty and there would be a charge for repairs.

      <text>Coral is correct. You should not be charged for the Geek Squad to look at your machine at all. Diagnostics are covered by Manufacturer Warranties and by our Black Tie Protection if purchased.</text>
