I thought best buy already gives employee discounts (according to the videos on the career page)

Now if you mean discounts on 3rd party places like we get at Target then yeah

I like the idea. Perhaps also have a few kisoks where someone can work with a best buy rep in ordering their item online

but then again, some malls may be able to fit an entire best buy in them, eirther in the actual mall or in a standalone buliding. (remember, there are "out door" malls too)

Forgot to menton this will also help with people who need to go to another best buy because one did not have the item they were looking for. For some it may be a shock to step in one best buy and see that the blu-ray players are in the back of the store, but when they take a trip to the other they find out computers are in the back.

It gets people in and out of the store quick.

no. best buy already has kiosks for that.

It wouldnt hurt for those who are looking to buy a laptop to see how the internet experience is but with kids thats asking for trouble

I definitely think this is a good idea. Anytime I mention a product online in a comment/blog/twitter, etc., I ALWAYS link to amazon.com and I ALWAYS attach my ?tag= referral id to the end of it. I have yet to earn any money from it, but why not? If Best Buy sold the same thing and offered a similar referral program, I might switch my referral, or at the very least give two links.

And sites like blu-ray.com might do the same thing, they currently link EVERY purchase link to amazon in order to get a referral.

My boyfriend agrees! We went to the mall a couple of weeks ago to pre-order at GameStop because he got some sort of code, on the way there he said he would buy it at Best Buy for the reward points but they don't offer the incentive.

Personally I would go along with the MIRC idea. Also I would like to see the ability to do video chatting with customers so there's more of a personal connection between customer and associate than an instant message or phone call.

isnt there the issue of the video game itself, it is my understanding that you can not charge people to play the game itself, renting the unit yes but put a store owned copy of resident evil and you have a legal problem.

with the new reflow, hundreds of CDs will be taken out in the next few months
